Truly CBD Malaysia

This happened yesterday. I went to STA Travels agency to issue my flight ticket @ Jln Pudu. I had to walk from KTM Kuala Lumpur, accross KotaRaya, Petaling Street, PuduRaya to get to Plaza Magnun (opposite Swiss Garden Hotel). You can be sure that everything along Jln Pudu are quite the same. Then, I began to have some nostalgic moment. Seven years ago, I made my first trip down to KL with my friends, using the same mode of public transportation - Bus and Train and seven years later; everything looks exactly the same.

Let's not comment about the entire city. Let's just concentrate on one section of it; where it is considered one of the most busy and still remains as a tourist attraction (I dunno why). Pasar Seni, Petaling Street, KotaRaya, PuduRaya along Jln Pudu.

1 - Seven years ago; Kota Raya and PasarSeni are still packed with immigrants, illegal immigrants, beggars, scary build ugly men, trashy chicks (some looked like the dancers from Whitney Houston's I wanna dance with somebody MTV), skinny mat rock, or mat motor, mat selekeh, mat tak tahu feshen, mat suka kulit hitam sinar, mat luar biasa and all the mat mat mat. Seven years later; nothing changed except the increased number.

2 - The roads are still as jam, dirty, dusty, black and all the bad things you can name it. I think SVellu was also the responsible person 7 years ago. So no suprise.

3 - The buses still jams the road at KotaRaya and PuduRaya. The jam still looks the same. One lane is always moving slowly bumper-bumper, the other, stagnant as cars are parked there. The total of lanes the have: 2! 7 years later, still 2! Can't they relocate the CBD BUS STATION to somwhere more "viewable"?

4 - Seven years ago; a lost, tired, hungry and frustrated tourist aproached my friends and asked for direction. Seven years later; another lost, tired, hungry, friendly but got ripped off tourist approached me and asked for direction. Why she got ripped off? Someone direct her to walk towards PuduJail when she was looking for Bangkok Bank -_-"'. Then another person asked her to pay him for the service he can provide O_o. Then, she bumped into Andrewkin who 100% led her to the CORRECT direction with no surcharge except for a great smile on her face!

5 - I shall not comment on the smelly, cramp, over-priced, mis-used bus and train! Adding on, why are the train and bus station situated so far from everywhere and most of the time, in the middle of nowhere!

6 - You wanna add?

The only one thing that was different 7 years ago and now was of course the nice roof they build for Petaling Street ... and me strolling down the street like a Ei Sha. Hahaha! Just joking.

Anyway - It was a sad thing. Malaysia should have developed much faster, or rather has developed but the CBD still lacks of civilization - Modern, Educated and Presentable society. I am not quite sure you guys get me ... but I think Malaysia should really look into the issue of correcting the problem rather than moving the problem away (Cyberjaya *hint hint*). Don't blame the crime because of immigrants, Don't blame poverty because of the inflation rate and living standart, Don't blame others because no matter what happen, the problem still comes and rise from one place. Malaysia.
